Who shaves a Pom/Mix Breed?

by Michelle
(Syracuse)

I had a horrible experience at my local Pet Co. Took my gorgeous Pom/Sheltie mix in after I had previously gotten her bathed and combed out at same place.

I had told them, just trim her feet and a little on her ears. The moron cut all her leg fringe off, thinned her coat with what appeared to me to be a thinning shear job, and to boot, her ears were all greasy, don't even think they bathed her.

I was very angry as was taking her on trip and wanted her to look as good as possible. I of course, demanded my money back, but am still angry. They said I told them to cut her, which I absolutely did not. I am a very precise person and gave them direct instructions.

My thought, they hire very untalented people (their cashiers are idiots as well). No self-respecting groomer would EVER cut my type of pet's coat in such a fashion as she did.

Luckily I am a hairdresser as I was able to even up all the long stray uneven hairs she left. I would avoid Pet Co like the plaque.

Pedigreed Pups:

Michelle, Thank you so much for sharing your great story, although pretty troubling, about your grooming experience with your Sheltie mix puppy.

BTW, please tell us also exactly what you think about the above story by leaving some interesting comments below.

"How do I do that?", you might ask. It's pretty easy to do - just click on the link that says "Click here to post comments" and if you want to read what others have said you can do that too at the same place.

So now it's all up to you. Share with us as you'd like, read the stories of others, watch a few dog breed videos and see what experiences others have had with their own dogs. Thanks for visiting us.
