Our Chow Puppy, Teddy Bear
by Terri

My husband and I had a purebred albino chow chow for 15 years. Although she was absolutely the sweetest dog ever (to us) her pug nose, overbite front teeth, and solid purplish-black tongue made her look menacing to strangers.

One of the niftiest things about Teddy was that she would eat anything and everything that was given to her. The only time we ever had to throw out any food was if we let it sit in the refrigerator too long that it went bad; otherwise, she would clean it out for us. It was hilarious to watch her gobble down banana pieces and beg for more; I have never known a dog that would eat bananas.
Although Teddy was a very protective dog, she was also very gentle. One of my favorite pictures is one of her letting my nine month old great-niece hang onto her fur. She had a terrific sense of knowing and judging people.
She always hated to be groomed so I always had a hard time keeping her wild mane trimmed up. One time I tried to trim it up nice and pretty and messed up so bad that I ended up having to cut her fur down almost all the way all over her. It was so funny because then she did actually look like a big teddy bear.
Although we have occasionally discussed getting another dog, my husband and I just have not had the heart to do it. We just can’t seem to imagine finding another dog as unique and wonderful as our little albino chow girl.
I am only twelve years of age and my name is Vanessa. I have to tell you about a great dog. He is a male, he is a smart hound and his breed is a Begal.
His name is Bacon, he is very cute and had gained little bit more when he was just born. He only weighs about 27.2 lbs and he was born in May 29, 2010.
He and many other animals have inspired me to help care donate money and adopt many as we can. i feel bad for the animals that have been killed, hurt, mistreated, abused, no shelter, food and water. There are many of these cases and I am trying to save up money because animals are the same thing as humans and many need help.
I also was thinking of becoming a vetanarian. I want to save many animals lives and make them feel better. I want to help! Thank you for reading this.
