Our Boxer and Cocker Spaniel Love Squeaky Toys

by Anne
(NV, US)

We have a Fawn Boxer and a German Cocker Spaniel. Both are purebred dog breeds. Our Boxer dog's name is Brownie and our cocker spaniel is Zola. They are both AKC purebred dogs. They can be costly to maintain and their upkeep takes a lot of our time. We have to brush Zola's fur in order to keep it free of tangles and to keep it clean and shining.

Our boxer has very short fur and therefore no fur falls. But we still brush her also. We’ve bought them many dog toys to play with but both of them loved only two toys - one of which is a dog toy, that is a boot shaped toy with a whistle and the other one was my child's duckie which she plays in the bath tub. But from three now only one yellow duck was left, so we placed it on the tv along with the boot toy.

Our dogs used to sit down and watch the toys with all love filled in their eyes. They behave themselves and loved to play with them. So when we all go about our jobs in the house, brownie will gently put her front paws on the table and with out upsetting anything on the tv top, she will hold the toy in her mouth and take each one down.

The best part is how much she loved the boot and the duck - she used to give it to Zola too. She will take it to her corner and put her paws on it and keep making the boot whistle and whistle, but at the same time Zola will take the duck, place it between her paws and look at it and make a noise and tries to bite her neck. Once the duck makes a noise, she leaps up and runs around and around, then puts her paws on it and licks the whole duck and places her head on it, like she is sleeping on it.

Brownie never allows Zola to touch her toy as she gently places it on the ground and keeps wondering where the that noise is coming from. Its such a joy and blessing to see our dogs so full of happiness and peace with each other and with their doggie toys.
