My sweet (German Shepherd Doggie) Peachs, RIP

I had a german shepherd dog her name was Peachs. She was the best dog ever. She was playful, smart, protective, and had a great personality she could always make me laugh all the time.
We went everywhere together,we went to the park, for rides in the car to her favorite store which was petsmart. We went for long walks together.Peachs slept with me every night. She was always waiting for me to get up in the morning so we could start a day of play.
That all ended on March 2nd 2009 when me and Peachs was outside playing.Peachs got distracted by a cat which she never chased cats or let a cat bother her but that day was different.
Peachs saw the cat and before I could grab her she took off running after the cat.The cat ran in the street and Peachs was right behind the cat I was following her calling her and trying to stop her.
There was a moving truck speeding down the street - the truck ran the stop sign and he couldn't stop when my dog ran into the street. He hit my dog right in front of me slowed down and looked at me and kept going despite seeing me start to cry.Peachs took one last breath and died.
I picked her up out the street and I buried her.I did get the trucks license plate number and called the police but they didn't do anything about it.
I think about that day all the time.I don't have any other pets right now.I do plan to get another dog soon.I feel as though it is my fault Peachs is dead.I miss her terribly.
Rest In Peace My Sweet Girl.
Be Good And Do What God Tells You To Do.
Don't Give God A Hard Time.I Know You Won't.
You Are A Sweet Girl. I Love And Miss You.
Be A Good Girl.I'll See You On Rainbow Bridge.
