My Silky Terrier Was Also My Present

by Tiffany
(OH)

I got an AKC purebred dog for my 21st birthday. It belonged to the category AKC Toy dogs, and it was a beautiful Silky Terrier.

In the evening when I was celebrating with my friends, there was a knock at the door. I ran and opened it thinking it was a guest, but there was no one there but a small red box, and out of it there was the little head of a puppy looking out curiously. It had a red ribbon on its silky hair.

I was overwhelmed with joy as I had been dreaming of a puppy for a while, so I took it in! My puppy became the center of attention at once! First, it urinated on one of the guest’s lap, then it was dragging everyone’s pants and shoes.

Days later it became my best friend, it was sleeping with me in the same bed, licking my face in the mornings, and when I had no time to play with it, there was a teddy bear it was fond of, so it kept him entertained for a while.

One day I took my dog out to the garden for a walk, and there were several friends of mine with me. It was fall time, and there were beautiful red and yellow leaves shattered here and there on the grass. So, it began to play around, bark with joy and suddenly it disappeared. There was no noise, no track of it anywhere, and we spent about 20 minutes looking for it in any place possible.

Finally, we heard a low noise coming from under the leaves, we went closer and saw my puppy in a small hole, where there had been a toy thrown. It had been silently playing with the toy and I was surprised at how calm and brave my Silky Terrier puppy was!

So, I took my purebreed dog home, gave it a bath and there it was, clean and fresh again!
