My Bloodhound Cleotis

by Henry
(TN, USA)

We've owned several different breeds of dogs, both mutts and purebred dogs, but our favorite over the years is our Bloodhound Cleotis. When they say that a Bloodhound is single minded and not the brightest bulb in the box they sure know what they're talking about because that is Cleotis.

When his nose goes to work his brain and ears shut off. Let a rabbit go by and the race is on. Cleotis is a 100 pound big lug who has no clue of his size or strength, he'll just about knock you down with his tail, but the true danger is tripping over his always sleeping form.

He is truly showing what a great dog he is at present though, he's training our new puppy and has the patience of a saint with her. The pup will climb on him, hang from his ears and chew on his lips and he's so patient. When he's had enough of her antics he'll just slowly put a paw on her and hold her on the ground for a time out.

No, he's not the prettiest, and yes he can be a goof and get underfoot, but when it comes to patience, lovability and just plain being cute then the Bloodhound is the best.

Pedigreed Pups:
