Flash--tastic, My Portuguese water dog, Known as Mr. Black

by louise Veffer
(canada)

My Portuguese water dog does all kinds of weird things. He prunes my plants in spring, steals tomatoes from the vines, peppers and eats anything green including broccoli, strawberries, etc.

He is a very smart dog loving and alert. He loves agility. When he was a puppy he stole the red pen of my desk, took it downstairs and chewed it on my white carpet.

First I thought he was hurt, that was not the case I washed his feet(he has white feet) then the carpet. I must say then windex does a great job.

He also took his leather collar off the cupboard and left the buckle for me to clean up. After all I should not have left it there. However not too much damage after this.

He loves playing with his friends the Ridgebacks who are 100 Lbs. Not a problem for Flash.

Pedigreedpups.com:

Louise, thank you for telling us the wonderful story about your Portuguese water dog. This is definitely not a dog breed that a lot of people are used to seeing but I think that thanks to President Obama and you that the public might see a few more of them.

BTW, to all our readers - thanks for reading and please come back often to see what else is going on in our growing purebred dog community. Let us know what you think about the above story by leaving some comments below.
