The Scottie is an absolutely dependable and loyal dog, but may sometimes appear aloof and independent. It is also very sensitive and will make a good pet for someone who understands his fiesty nature. Socialization is critical. The Scottish Terriers The Scottie needs to be walked several times per day. This dog breed is very energetic and busy and requires plenty of regular exercise. They can be good watchdogs and tends to be a 1 or 2 person dog. Overall, they can be very suspicious of strangers, and, be forewarned, can be very dog-aggressive and are not generally the ideal dog breed to have in a household filled with children.
