Pet Hotline Information
Iím sure all of you have seen at least one pet hotline information number list - many of us have probably seen many more. You can find them every where - in the newspapers, on the internet, on the television, and on the radio to name only a few places.
Oftentimes these pet hotline information calls are free, but occasionally a small fee may be charged, depending on the type service involved. Beware 900 numbers in particular as these almost always have a charge (sometimes hidden) and may add up very quickly to be quite a hefty sum over the course of your call(s).
Below you will find a listing of several pet hotline information phone numbers which you may, or may not, find helpful. As with all other emergency numbers, you may want to put these in a safe place should you ever need them.

Call for help if you think your pet has ticks or if you need information to prevent this deadly tick-borne disease.
National Pet Recovery Hotline: 1 800 984 8638
This membership based 24-hour service will help you to locate your lost pet.
Tattoo-A-Pet: 1 800 828-8667
For a $35.00 lifetime membership (for the life of the pet) fee, which includes an identification tattoo, this 24-hour service will monitor all lost pets found that have tattoos, where found, etc.
Legal Hotline: 1 800 555 6517
The Animal Legal Defense Fund can help with any issues you may have such as: landlord-tenant questions, animal neglect cases, problems with your vet, or any form of animal abuse.
Spay Helpline: 1 800 248 SPAY
SPAY USA provides free or low cost spay services to all. Schedule an appointment or check possible locations at over 950 programs and clinics nationwide.
Pet Loss Support Hotline: 1 888 478 7574
This free service is funded by the Iams Company, but manned by Veterinary students at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine to provide a source of emotional support for those who have lost a pet or are anticipating the loss of their pet.

Their specialty is helping people find their lost pet.
National Found Pet Hotline Information: 1-800-755-8111
Call this number if you find a lost animal and want to report it.
Animal Behavior Hotline: 415 554 3075
They offer assistance with many kinds of animal and pet behavior problems. You will be responsible for paying any long distance phone charges incurred.
Dog Training Hotline: 212 727 7257
This free dog owners training, resource and referral helpline is provided by the American Dog trainers network director. You will be responsible for paying any long distance phone charges incurred.
