Miniature Pinscher -
Purebred Dogs and Puppies

A member of the AKC Toy group, the Miniature Pinscher is proud, high-strung, intelligent, fearless and playful, even into his old age. The Min Pin has been around since at least the early 19th century.

The MinPin has often been called the "King of the Toy." Their know-it-all attitude can make them hard to train. The Min Pinis an ideal size for a house dog and can be very possessive of his loved ones, fearless when on guard and makes an alert watch dog.

These guys are fiesty as a terrier and every bit as alert as a doberman but this dog breed is NOT a miniature Doberman. They are a structurally well balanced, sturdy, compact, short-coupled, and smooth-coated dog. He is naturally well groomed, proud, vigorous, and alert.

This dog breed stands at about 10 to 12 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 8 to 12 pounds. Their coat is almost maintenance free - a regular brush and occasional rub down with chamois will keep the coat clean and shiny.

Characteristic traits are his hackney-like action, fearless animation, complete self-possession, and his spirited presence. The MinPin needs a lot of exercise despite their small size. They are great with adults but are not known for being so good with small children. They can be very noisy too.
