Havanese - Purebred
Dogs and Puppies

A member of the Toy group, The Havanese is a sturdy, short-legged small dog with a soft, profuse, untrimmed coat. His plumed tail is often carried curled over his back.

They are considered to be a non-shedding and hyper allergenic dog breed. They do well in the show ring and in obedience trials, however house training can present a problem. Also known as the Havana Silk Dog, this little dog breed sheds very little but needs frequent grooming to help keep the coat from matting.

This dog breed has three coat types, the smooth (which is very similar to the Maltese) the curly (not unlike a Bichon Frise coat) and the wavy (which is the preferred coat type) and the type most unique to this breed of all coat types.

These dogs are an affectionate, happy dog with a lively, springy gait that does not know strangers. They are fun loving, warm and friendly. This is a very healthy long-lived breed. These dogs are natural companion dogs.
