• The Swedish Vallhund , which literally means herding dog, are great cattle drovers, watchdogs and exceptional ratters too. • These dogs can come naturally without a tail (bobtail), with a stub tail and sometimes even with a full length curly tail. • These intelligent little dogs are also very alert and energetic. • These dogs are originally a Swedish breed. • This dog breed nearly become extinct after WWII like many other European dog breeds. • The first of the Swedish Vallhunds arrived in England in 1974. • Later, in 1984, the first of the Vallhunds arrived in the United States. • These dogs are natural barkers so be forewarned - they can be taught to be quieter. • Grooming needs are pretty low for this little dog breed.
